What is Psychosocial Recovery Coaching?

Psychosocial Recovery Coaching (PRC) offers tailored, one-on-one support for people with psychosocial disability who want to build their independence and actively work toward their recovery goals. At Anala, our coaches bring a deep understanding of mental health and lived experience to guide participants in navigating the NDIS, building daily routines, connecting with supports, and developing long-term strategies for stability and growth.

With a recovery-oriented, person-led approach, Anala’s PRC service is built on trust, collaboration, and consistency. We understand that recovery is non-linear, so we meet people where they’re at—with respect, patience, and flexibility.

Psychosocial Recovery Coaching - process

Our Process

We follow a clear, person-centred process-PRC to ensure support is effective, ethical, and collaborative.

1. Initial Referral & Connection

We start with a warm introduction to understand your circumstances, preferences, and support needs. This helps us match you with the right recovery coach.

2. Building the Relationship

Your coach takes time to build trust, get to know you, and learn about your goals, strengths, and challenges—meeting you where you're at.

3. Understanding Your NDIS Plan

We work with you to unpack your NDIS plan and identify how to use your supports effectively, without the overwhelm.

4. Collaborative Goal Setting

Together, we identify your personal recovery goals and develop a plan that fits your pace, needs, and vision for the future.

5. Ongoing Support & Connection

Your coach is a consistent point of contact, helping with routines, appointments, services, and life’s ups and downs, all while staying focused on your growth.

6. Review, Reflect & Adjust

We regularly check in on what’s working, what’s changed, and where you’re headed—adjusting the approach to stay aligned with your progress and goals.

What We Offer

Anala’s Psychosocial Recovery Coaching gives participants consistent, expert support rooted in empathy and real-world experience. Our coaches go beyond coordination to walk alongside people on their journey—supporting both day-to-day living and long-term resilience. We combine deep mental health insight with a person-first approach, helping individuals build sustainable progress and regain control over their lives.

Recovery Coaching is for people with a psychosocial disability who want support to build their independence, navigate the NDIS, and work toward personal recovery goals. 

While both roles help with NDIS navigation, recovery coaches specialise in mental health support and work in a one-on-one basis over time to help you build capacity and self-direction.

Yes. You’ll need “Psychosocial Recovery Coaching” funded in your Capacity Building budget. We can help you check or request it in your plan.

Coaches can support you with routines, appointments, housing, relationships, crisis planning, and more—based on what matters to you.
